I'm from Görlitz, Saxony. One of Germany's earliest philosophers is a shoemaker from Görlitz, Jacob Böhme. Nicolas Cage seems to be a well-educated man. Not only does he know of Böhme, he actually admires him. For his 42nd birthday, Nicolas Cage made a wish of his come true: he traveled to Görlitz, visiting all the places that Jacob Böhme lived and worked at, and also his tomb. Seems Mr. Cage loved Görlitz so much, he's rumored to have bought a house or appartment there.

I completely understand his admiration for my hometown :o)
