They say you'll never forget that smell, as long as you live
.... they could be right..
This morning after endless conversations with the property management, who wanted to wait another week, I called the police to see what had happened to my neighbour.
He's an old man, who took our mail and packages when we weren't around...
I hadn't seen him in ages and the doormat lay in such an angle ( for days.. ) that you could see that the door hadn't been opened..
And when we opened the letter-slit ( sp?) we saw that the light was on.. and the smell omg ...
So I called the police and they identified the smell, called the fire-brigade who broke the door open..
I didn't look inside, but when I left the house half an hour later, the door to his appartment was still open..
What I had thought was a carpet role laying on the floor were his legs... *horriefied* Already greay.. I'm glad I only saw that and part of his back.. It will never leave my mind...
