coldplay were FANTASTIC yesterday.
we cold to the venue 15 after the first warm-up act ( Tomte ) should've started, but there was no sign of them for over an hour!
and that meant sitting in the burning sun for the whole time.. and it wasnt even worth waiting for them, as they were rubbishly boring.
then, more waiting for richard ashcroft, who really blew us away with his voice, music and appearance . he took of his shoes after the first song and was in a really good and goofy mood..
AND he sang "bittersweet symphony"!!
i couldnt believe my ears.. and got goosebumps everywhere. until he began singing he was just jumping around, waving his arms in the air and enjoying the audience who went wild when they heard the first notes of the song! *shivers*
. but it was really worth it, as they were in a brilliant mood and played all their wonderful hits and i think all the songs from the new album!
chris was even crazier when it came to the jumping and dancing around.
he tried to speak some german, but the only thing he managed was "Wie komme ich am schnellsten zum B
Bahnhof, bitte?" ( "whats the quickest way to the station, please?")
they didnt just throw their towels and drumsticks into the audience, but also a digital-camera that they had just used to make some pics of the audience and themselves..
i wanted to hear "fix you" so badly..would've died, hadnt they played it!!turned out to be the last and very very VERY emotional song the show..
right before the end, before he starts singing "..tears streaming down your face..", he grabs a rope that leads to a giant lightbulb, looking like the moon. and he begins jerking (word?)the whole thing around before going into his line..
what a fantastic sight.
the last lines he sang were "wie komme schnellstens zum bahnhof" lmao.. and "thank you" .. all put into the "fix you" music ..
