plans plans ... or not
Mar. 30th, 2006 06:13 amSeems those plans you make, those that make your future a little more bright and the present a little easier are easy to just fall apart.
And suddenly my whole situation's changed.
Tom's dad called from Key West yesterday.
He'd talked to his lawyer asking why Tom's Green Card is taking so long.
Seems the offices in California are dealing with the applications of 1993 right now-which, if you do the maths-means that he'll get it when he's 40...
Tom's dad has been all about this forever. Ever since TOm and I started going out he said we couldn't get married before the Green Card was through. We were together for, like, a week and he said that!!! It's a funny thing because who would get married after a week *lol*
He always paid for our trips to the US because he wanted us to see how wonderful life could be over there.
And it is true! But yeah..
His brother even talked about those hotel plans .. yeah, bollocks..
Knowing that his prospects of being able to work in the US in the near future are impossible Tom's decided he does not only want to do his internship in the States but also write his diploma thesis there.
Which leaves me, dependent as I am therapy wise, with more decisions to make and more mindwork to do.
