Awww, ok. Sorry I'm not helping with the work-boredom. Btw, did you ever get a chance to scan those emmy magazine photos taken by Dom? (Sorry if I'm just completely mixed up about who had them, but if you did and I missed it somehow, could you point me towards them??)

yeah it was me and i gave the mag to my friend to scan them.
she had a lot of stress at work, so im hoping she'll have them ready right after easter. ( so tuesday )

gonna post them on lj and stardom, so you're not gonna miss them!

awesome! It's still sorta driving me nuts that I couldn't get a hold of that magazine myself. Can you tell me-- are any of the photos nature-y? Landscapes, or plants or animals? You have no idea how much of a Hawaii-phile I am. I keep wondering if I'll see any of my favorite Hawaiian things in Dom's photos, you know??!?

Yeah, I've done field research on 4 of the islands there, and spent a semester there as an undergrad studying field geology, marine biology and botany, and I've been back there twice just to visit (backpacking & camping, mostly). Until my health failed, my research specialized on Pacific islands (including New Zealand). *sigh* (This is part of why I was so obsessed with LOTR, and now with Lost). Anyway, if your friend is interested in getting away from the tourist areas, I'm always happy to give travel advice!
