So.. the hairdresser appointment went well. I love my new hairdo incl new shiny ( oh everything's so shiny these days..) highlights.

The only bad thing, as I sat in that chair, was that I only had one contact lense in my eyes ..
Oh noes, the other one fell out, as I rubbed my eye in the car right after I left the optiometrist.
*shakes head*
What an itchy feeling. I don't know if I can cope with that. I know it's supposed to go away after you get used to it. But still.

So, yeah, only one contact lense because I couldnt take the other one out on my own..argh.. that feeling of touching your eye. Not for me, I tell you..
But I want days without my glasses. Sometimes when I put on a little bit of make up and eye-shadow and such and I'm really satisfied with the outcome I'm always sad to put on the glasses, cos they kinda ruin the whole thing..

Ah well. We're gonna try out other ones tomorrow.

That is when Dom starts to cry. It's quite embarrassing, too, as he's having trouble keeping quiet and is actually curling up in his seat. Jorge, sitting on his right, whispers, "Hey man, are you okay?" Dom just shakes.

He's surprised to feel an arm around his shoulders, pulling him gently. Josh, on his left, murmuring "'Sokay. It's alright."

Dom makes it to the end of the film, breathing in the smell of Josh. Comfort. He sits up as the credits roll, gives a smile that doesn't quite pick up on one side, and says, "Thanks." Josh tells him it's no problem; Dom breaks ranks and finds a corner of the lobby. Takes out his phone, speed-dial 1.

Billy picks up.

Ich hab mich bei meinem ersten Kontaktlinsenkontakt angestellt wie ein Kleinkind. Zwei stunden hab ich da gesessen, weil die mich nicht gehen lassen wollten bis ich die Dinger alleine raus und reinbekommen hab. Mittlerweile kann ich das auch im angetrunkenen Zustand. ;-)

irgendwann denkt man nicht mehr dran. das dauert halt einige zeit. du solltest dir noch zeit geben. nicht gleich aufgeben. Die Dinger erleichtern das leben schon ungemein.

Contacts take time. It took me about two days to really get the hang of it. I also had a thing about touching my eye, but you just have to get over it, and you will, with practice. Now it's a non-issue, in and out with no problems. It is frustrating at first, but stick with it and you'll get the hang of it. And you'll learn to rub *around* the eye when it itches, not on the eye as you would if you weren't wearing contacts.

No, not really. Your eyes will get used to them, trust me. If they're bugging you tomorrow, wear your glasses on Friday, then practice putting them in this weekend. That's what I did, and I was pretty much a pro by Monday.

I would reccomend getting re-wetting drops and keeping them in your purse. These are eye drops that you can use with your contacts in. They come in handy if you get something in your eye or if you're going to have to wear them longer than you normally do (for instance, I use them if I go to a concert straight after work and I don't have time to go home and put my glasses on), they help with eye strain that can occur if you wear contacts longer than 12 hours.

Das mit den Kontaktlinsen braucht wirklich Zeit. Wenn Du sie sonst gut verträgst, wirst du sie schon nach einigen Tagen nicht mehr merken (du hast doch weiche, oder? Bei harten Linsen kann das ansonsten etwas länger dauern...). Jedenfalls wie Tina schon sagte, Kontaktlinsen erleichtern einen das Leben wirklich ungemein. Obwohl ich ja bei Dir sagen muss, dass ich Deine Brille echt schick finde und sie dir wirklich gut steht!
Bin auch schon gespannt auf Deinen neuen Haarschnitt. Bitte Fotos :D
