had my lesson in german history today..
wow.. there are so many things you need to know and you wished never happened.
visited a memorial jail in east-berlin, mainly used for political enimies of the DDR..

we were guided by a guy in his mid-thirties and were really over-whelmed when he told us that he himself once was in the exact cell we were standing in front off.. wow.. he tried to escape into the west in 1987 and was caught..what an amazing person! i was really touched and crushed by everything he told us..

and i couldnt believe my ears about what happended until germany was united!!

more on that matter tomorrow

now off to see "les miserable"

The only history we learn is ancient history. Like..2349827498274 BCE or whatever. I'm sure history majors prolly learn about it, though.
